
If people regain weight – or even start to struggle – their first impulse is to “go dark” and withdraw.

“Code Red WORKS it literally changed my life. I started with my first challenge fall of 2020 lost 113#’s by summer 2021. Started maintenance was doing really well keeping it off. Then this last year I started to get Sloppy and that’s when I started to gain.
“The thing that kept me from getting back in the group was ME! I finally worked through my head, That they are not going to ridicule or put me down, or say no you failed don’t come back.
“That Was All ME and what I was telling myself. So here I am being honest calling myself out and recommitting!
“I realize you really do need to stay connected to Code Red it keeps you Focused and on track!”
I am REALLY proud of this Rebel for pushing through those lies in her head, because it’s pretty freaking tough to do.
And she’s absolutely right. We’re not gonna reject you or make fun of you if you’ve regained weight. Everyone takes a break from caring sometimes.
The longer you take that “break,” the more weight you’ll regain, so hitting the brakes ASAP is ideal…

“Code Red has been a lifesaver for me. I started in early September 2022 at my highest weight ever! I was on the program for almost a month then devastation hit! We lost our 27 yo son suddenly. If it wasn’t for CR, I would have eaten ALL my emotions but since I had the program, I continued and lost nearly 60 lbs by March 2023. Having CR to turn to during that time was such a blessing. Today I am where I was in January 2021, Having gained back half of what I lost when I started. I am determined to get to goal this time. This time is different, this time I am a different person with a different mindset and a different lifestyle. I promised myself I will lean into this community for the support I need to make it this time. This time I will. Let’s do this.”
“My first 10-day challenge was in 2018. I lost 7.6 lbs during that first challenge. Then I did another and another right in a row, losing 30 lbs total. I felt great and I looked great. However, I wasn’t done yet, but I chose to not be so careful with my food choices and many things ‘got in the way’ and I quickly gained the weight back and a few pounds more. I’ve been berating myself for years for the choices I made back then and throughout but it’s time to stop telling the story I have created for myself (I just started listening to Christy’s podcast and ‘What Stories Are You Telling Yourself?’ was the first one I just finished). It’s time to write a new one. If I want to be healthy I have to make good choices with my food, water, and sleep. I know how to do it. I’ve done it before. I’m a first grade teacher and my class motto which we repeat every day is ‘I can do hard things because I’m awesome!’ My new story is ‘I am a strong woman who knows how to make good choices to become and stay healthy. I am awesome!’ I’m excited to get to work!”
