When a 10 Pound Takedown is about to start, I love reading the posts of people who are signing up and sharing why they’re doing the Takedown. Here are a few from the March 2025 Takedown:
➡️ “I’m just so grateful for CR, lost over 20 pounds on the last two takedowns and this one should get me under 200 pounds, can’t wait!!! The FB group interaction is so encouraging!”
➡️ “Hi all!! I started the first week of Dec. at 180lbs doing the 7 day reset, then ate off from the Code Red food list and used Takedown rules until the Jan. Takedown started. I have been doing the 21 day shift, and now back for another Takedown. Currently at 156 (this morning) and hoping to drop 10 more and then try the custom program again. I love the support in both Takedown and Ringside so much! Looking forward to another month with my Rebel Sisters!”
➡️ “I’m excited to be here! Two months ago, I did the January 10-lb takedown and lost over 10 lbs. Recently, some medical things came up, and I wanted to take every opportunity to make sure I continue to progress in my weight loss journey. So, I decided to do the March challenge. Who else is ready for what is to come?!”
➡️ “Hello. I’m not new. I’ve been very successful in the past. But I self sabotage. I originally lost 40+ pounds. Gained back 20. Lost it again and then some, but back to the weight at the original 40 pounds. Working through the Emotional Eater program and looking forward to the Self-Sabotage event. I can’t wait to finally get off this self-imposed roller coaster.”
➡️ “Good evening everyone, I just joined my first 10lb takedown. I have been talking to a friend who has done code red in 2020 and has kept her weight off. I think she lost over 100lbs I really like having her as someone I can talk to but I haven’t been following all the rules well and I needed to get serious again. I have lost 65lbs but have another 30 to go and have been stuck for over two years. The good thing is that I haven’t gained any weight back but I really want to move forward and this 10lb takedown is at a perfect time since it is the start of Lent. I’m not giving anything up for Lent, but I am going to follow the Code Red rules and get serious again.
“I have had an eating disorder for over 50 years and have tried everything before. I even was in treatment for my eating disorder and was thrilled when I completed the 1/2 year of in patient treatment and had lost 3lbs. (Probably shouldn’t have been let out). I am in a much better place now but I have been having issues with many of my friends and co workers getting these new weight loss shots and getting thinner and thinner. It’s been playing with my mind. I am excited to do this 10lb takedown and hope that I can get off this plateau that I have been on.
“I have read Christi’s book twice and listen to all the podcasts when I am driving daily. I look forward to finding new support in the next month.”
➡️ “I did the January challenge and I am back for some more! I am looking forward to yet another challenge!”
➡️ “I’m back. I started Code red in 2020 and lost 70+ lbs. I need to get back on track and lose 30 lbs to get back to where I was. I am excited for this challenge to start. Let’s do this!”
➡️ “Hi y’all… I was turned on to CodeRed in 2020. Lost 40 pounds and was feeling amazing! This last year (2024), perimenopause has kicked my butt and gained all my weight back. Im ready to start over. I want to feel better, sleep better and just get back on track. All the motivation I can get from all of you the better! We CAN do this!!”
➡️ “This was 5.5 months on code red in 2019 where I had gotten to 307. I still weighed 257 in the after photo. I know this plan works. I also know that I have a lot of work to do on my mental health while I take this journey. So… I decided to come back. I am afraid to fail again, I am afraid to trust myself to do it & not give in to the little voice that says “just eat it, it won’t hurt you!” I want to prove to myself that I am worth the effort it is going to take to succeed and to keep going. I have come back to code red 3-4 times but I was not committed. Now I am ready! I truly want to make connections in this group and have a support system to keep me going! I will help you and hype you up…I may need you to pull me over the finish line and to keep going all year long!!!”
As you can see, there are a lot of different reasons people are joining.
