Is drinking water only good for “dieting?”

A while back, one of my Coaches told me a pretty interesting story.

She was at an appointment and asked to use the bathroom (because when you’re a Rebel who drinks a gallon of water a day, you go before you leave and you STILL have to go when you get there 😂).

She made a joke about drinking a gallon of water a day, and the receptionist agreed that a gallon of water is good for “dieting.”

😬

A gallon of water is good, period, whether or not you’re losing weight.

In weight loss mode, it’s absolutely critical to getting your weight off.

In maintenance, we drink a gallon of water a day to help keep the weight off, so we don’t have to “diet” ever again.

See, Code Red as a whole is about giving you a sustainable, delicious, simple lifestyle that not only helps you get the weight off, it helps you keep it off. No more “diets.”

My top 3 rules for keeping your weight off are to keep getting on the scale, keep drinking your water, and keep the junk food out of your house.

People who let even one of those rules slip start regaining weight.

You’ve gotta do your part and actually live the lifestyle.

And we’re here with tools, coaching and support to help you do exactly that.

If drinking that much water is hard for you, here are a few tips to help:

1) Start early. Get up, go potty, strip down naked and weigh yourself, then get started on your water immediately. It helps to fill your water bottle up the night before, so it’s ready to go.

2) Try drinking your water at room temperature instead of ice cold. Some people do better with cold water, but some find cold water hard to get in. If cold water is a struggle, try room temperature water and see if that’s easier to get in.

3) Every time you pick up your water to drink it, take 10 sips. It’ll go faster than you expect!

4) Use a straw. Most people can drink more through a straw than they can from chugging.

5) Add Code Red-approved electrolytes to your water. The taste is more exciting, plus you’re getting minerals your body needs anyway. The two I recommend are:

– Redmond ReLyte, www.coderedlifestyle.com/realsalt. Use CODERED15 for 15% off your order.

– Kaged Hydra-Charge, www.coderedlifestyle.com/km. Use CODERED15 for 15% off your order.

Drinking water is critical for energy, hair, skin, nails, appetite control, and even sleep (provided you get it in at a decent hour, haha), as well as weight loss and weight maintenance.
