Don’t you hate it when this happens?

This week I took Hazel to the vet clinic I’ve used for ten years because she needed a vaccination booster.

After we arrived, the vet tech took her leash and walked her to an exam room, where a vet administered her booster. Then the vet tech walked her back to me and got me my bill.

When I saw it, I almost came unglued.

On the list of services was a surprise $25 charge labeled “nurse fee.”

“What is this??” I asked the vet tech, as I’d never seen a “nurse fee” on a bill from this veterinary office.

After she explained it, I almost came unglued again.

Turns out the “nurse fee” was for a vet tech to walk Hazel to the exam room and back.

There was no actual nurse involved in ANYTHING. It was just a bullcrap hidden fee.

Feeling ambushed by the “nurse fee” (which I refused to pay), I left knowing I wouldn’t be back.

Listen, I get that everyone’s costs are going up, and that businesses have expenses. (I know that better than most.)

But ambushing your customers with bullcrap hidden fees is a TERRIBLE way to offset your rising costs.

What this veterinary office did would be like me charging people who come to a Code Red Retreat an extra $25 to go on the morning walk, an extra $25 to attend a Coach workshop, or an extra $25 to use the food scales my Coaches and I will provide for people who are on a Home Study program and need to log their food.

RIDICULOUS!!

Rest assured, there are no hidden fees with the Code Red Retreat.

I’m legally required to charge tax on anything you order from Code Red (if and when it’s applicable).

If it’s a physical product I ship you, I charge $5 shipping (though it costs me at least double that to ship most orders).

Outside of shipping and tax, the price is what it is, and everything that’s a part of the retreat is covered, including:

– Your private bedroom and bathroom in the beautiful lodge

– Two meals a day (and food scales to log your food if you’re on a Home Study program)

– The hydration station with an assortment of electrolytes, as well as tea and coffee

– Your VIP swag bag

– All included activities (like the morning walks, zip lining, games, and Coach workshops)

If you’d like to come to a Code Red Retreat, there are two options (unless one has sold out by the time you see this):

Option #1: Sept. 19-22

Option #2: Sept. 22-25

Option #1 is almost sold out (only a couple spots left). Option #2 has 13 spots left.

If you get a spot soon, you can split your payment in two and pay 50% now and 50% before the end of August.

You can also choose ShopPay for your payment option at checkout and see if they’ll break the payments up even more.
