Will you regain weight if you stop taking Ozempic?

One of the top fears experienced by people who try a GLP like Ozempic (or who think of trying it) is this:

What happens to my weight when I STOP taking it?

Think of it like this.

If you like being clean, you probably shower or take a bath once a day, right?

So what would happen if you stopped showering/bathing?

The answer’s obvious, isn’t it?

Same deal with keeping weight off.

If you stop doing what works to get and keep it off, you’ll gain it back.

That doesn’t mean you have to stay on a GLP forever to keep weight off.

What it means is that, just like weight loss surgery doesn’t sew your mouth shut, neither do GLPs.

Whether you use them for weight loss or not, if you go back to your old ways, you’ll get your old results.

“Cristy, are you saying I can never eat _________ again??”

Nope, I’m not. There’s a strategic way to work things back in when the time comes.

But if you go back to the same exact behaviors around food…if you think about food the same way, and you think about yourself and how you relate to food the same way, you WILL gain it back again…

GLPs or no GLPs.

You cannot outwit your food issues by taking a GLP.

(People who try have THE worst side effects.)

If you’re considering a GLP, do yourself a favor and learn how to use them CORRECTLY.

And get it from a medical professional who can educate you on the risks and side effects, plus work with you to monitor them.

A GLP may be a decent option for you, depending on your situation.

But that doesn’t mean you should blindly jump in without understanding what you’re doing or what could happen.

I know due diligence isn’t sexy or exciting, but neither is hurting yourself or causing permanent damage because you couldn’t bring yourself to think it through or work with someone who can have your back.

Do your due diligence and talk to someone who actually cares about you and your health.
