What Do I Eat? June 22, 2019

As of this post I’ve been doing a lot of Instagram Lives, and on a recent live, one of my Rebels asked me, “Cristy, how do I convince someone that fad diets don’t work?”

My answer?

Fad diets DO work.

At least, in the short term.

But in the long-term, they fail. Why?

First of all, they’re not sustainable. Do you really wanna resort to the cabbage soup diet or lemon and cayenne pepper diet for the rest of your life?

Or would you rather eat real food, drink water, and sleep to lose the weight and keep it off?

Fad diets also don’t address the real underlying issues, like sugar addiction. They don’t teach you how nutrition affects your physical and mental health (yes, it affects BOTH).

All they do is teach you to make a temporary change to lose some weight, before returning to the habits that got you fat and sick in the first place. Does that really sound like something that’s gonna keep you at a healthy weight?

Anyone can lose some weight. Keeping it off is another story.

In this week’s “What Do I Eat?” I’m sharing another meal idea that helps me stay at my ideal weight. Check it out below!
