GLPs, weight loss surgery, powders, pills, cleanses…
From the outside, they all seem like a shortcut to get what you want (the weight gone).
But here’s the hidden “gotcha” almost no one talks about.
GETTING something isn’t the same as KEEPING it.
Sure, you can use a GLP or get surgery or drink lemon water to lose weight.
Heck, you can do just about anything and lose at least some weight.
But then what?
What happens when the weight is gone?
Will you go back to your old ways and regain all the weight again?
See, this pattern of getting something but not being able to keep it is SUPER common.
Take a look at lottery winners who win a significant amount of money (millions).
Most spend it all within a few years and end up back where they started (or worse) financially.
Even people who build a successful business or get a higher paying job often do a version of the same thing.
Meaning, as their access to money increases, their spending increases, and they end up just as broke even though they’re making more money.
And how about people who get married?
How many find a great spouse, but end up divorced?
See what I’m saying?
HOW you lose the weight matters, because some methods are flat-out dangerous.
But no matter how you lose the weight, you need to be asking yourself, “How am I going to keep this off once it’s gone?”
Because if you don’t know, you’ll fall back into your old ways as soon as you reach the weight you want to reach, and end up right back on the weight regain rollercoaster.
Gimmicks don’t touch maintenance, because they don’t care whether you keep it off.
On Code Red, we DO care, which is why we have a dedicated maintenance program that’s all about teaching you how to transition from losing weight to keeping it off, while incorporating as much — or as little — food flexibility as you can handle without regaining your weight.
As for getting the weight off in the first place, Code Red actually educates you on how to do it without shakes, diet pills, diet foods, or exercise, so that you know what to do any time you need to drop some weight.
Bottom line: Get a plan in place so that you don’t fall into the trap of thinking that getting the weight off automatically equates to KEEPING it off.
