Still hiding your weight loss efforts out of shame?

Lately, I’ve been experimenting with wigs.

(I’m not losing my hair or anything. It’s for fun and fashion.)

I started with a human hair wig – as in, a wig made from actual human hair.

I didn’t know what I was doing, so didn’t get a very high-quality one (though it still wasn’t cheap).

It looked okay and all, but I didn’t love it.

Still, I learned a lot, and used what I learned when I purchased my second wig.

It was five times the price, but I LOVE it.

It’s made from synthetic hair (that looks real), the hair is longer, it’s better quality in every single way, and the “cap” fits so comfortably that I often forget I’m even wearing it.

When I got my first wig, I was pretty vocal about it, because that’s something I do when I’m uncomfortable or embarrassed.

It felt awkward and weird to learn about wigs and not know what I was doing, and I preferred to just be transparent about it.

But once I got comfortable with my second wig, I stopped talking about it, because now I feel confident about my wig.

So what does all this wig stuff mean for you?

Well, when it comes to weight loss, I actually see this same behavior in people who are confident about their weight loss vs. people who aren’t.

Meaning, people who aren’t confident in what they’re doing will over-explain, apologize, and act weird and awkward about losing weight (a little like I did when I wasn’t confident about my wig)…

Whereas people who ARE confident don’t feel awkward or uncomfortable and don’t feel a need to explain to people what they’re doing (like me now that I AM confident with my wig).

Confident people will still talk about it if someone asks, and maybe talk about it because they’re passionate about it.

But they won’t feel pressured to justify it to everyone because they’re not confident in what they’re doing.

If you’re not confident in how you’re losing weight, it’s probably for one (or more) of these reasons:

1) You’ve failed before, are scared you’ll fail again, and you’re worried about what people will think.

2) You’re intimidated by the food pushers and critics in your life.

3) You struggle with confidence in general.

4) The method you’re using to lose weight is embarrassing to you.

The first three can be tricky to sort out.

But the great thing about losing weight with Code Red is that we eat real food, drink water, and sleep.

If anyone asks, that’s what you can tell them.

Nothing to be ashamed of with that!

Seriously, what can they say?

Especially when you’re smaller and feeling better every time they see you?

And especially because you spent just $27 to join a 10 Pound Takedown…while they’re forking over $1,000 a month for Ozempic or $10,000-plus for gastric surgery…

Yet you’re losing weight just as fast (if not faster)…

Except without puking your guts out or mutilating your insides.

I’d argue it’s hard NOT to feel confident in that situation!

So to lose weight without shakes, diet pills, diet foods, exercise, or dangerous, extreme measures like shots or surgery, join the 10 Pound Takedown now at www.10PoundTakedown.com.

And hey, no shame if you’ve tried shots or gastric surgery. A lot of people have. We in Code Red get the desperation. Besides, doing the shots or surgery doesn’t mean you can’t do Code Red. You 100% can, and I hope to see you in the 10 Pound Takedown.
