Is it possible to eat too much fat?

I get this question all the time from people new to Code Red (who are also probably new to the concept that there’s such a thing as healthy dietary fat!).

Fat’s been demonized for decades, and interestingly, society as a whole has gotten fatter and sicker since then.

But I get why people ask, because fat is still labeled as bad, even with all the data and research proving fat is not the bad guy cherry-picked science once made it out to be.

In fact, healthy dietary fat is not only “not bad,” it’s actually GOOD for you.

So knowing all this, IS it possible to eat too much fat?

Look, the truth is, it’s possible to eat (or drink) too much of ANYTHING.

Exactly how much fat is too much is tough to say, especially if you’re wanting to lose weight on a high-fat, low-carb diet.

That being said, if you’re eating steak and asparagus, and adding real butter, or full-fat Ranch dressing, it’s unlikely you’re getting “too much fat” (unless the Ranch is Costco-sized and you guzzle a whole bottle at every meal).

If you’re worried about how much is too much, use a little common sense, and you’ll probably be fine.

If you want exact numbers, I can’t give you that in a blog post, but you can get a copy of my book, The Code Red Revolution, for more info on how we use food for weight loss on the Code Red Lifestyle™.

You can also check out a Home Study program in the Code Red network, which will give you specifics customized to your situation.

Bottom line: Yes, you can have too much fat, but NOT because heathy dietary fat is “bad.” It’s because it’s possible to have too much of ANYTHING.

Eat the way we eat on Code Red (including healthy dietary fats), and don’t be surprised if you not only lose weight, but feel better than you have in years!
