Feeling pretty run down? Still?

See if you agree with this.

Ever since the lockdowns – which I know we’re ALL sick of – hit in early 2020, it’s like this heaviness settled over the world.

And from what I’m seeing – including in the Code Red community – that weird heaviness, plus the fear, the uncertainty…it’s run us all ragged, and we’re exhausted.

This year stress even did a REAL number on me, to where it affected me physically, and only in the last month or so have I finally gotten a handle on it.

After all these back to back months of craziness, uncertainty, heaviness, division, fear, and not knowing who or what to believe…you know what I think?

We need some hope.

Not the victim-y, wishy-washy, “Well, I sure hope this works” kind where you never take any action. I don’t subscribe to that form of hope.

I’m talking about the kind of hope that gets you out of bed because you have hope (aka positive expectation) today will be better.

I’m talking about the kind of hope that gets you into your first 10 Pound Takedown, even though you’ve failed at every diet under the sun and believe you’ll always be fat.

I’m talking about the kind of hope that gets you on the scale every morning, even on the days where you’re pretty sure it’s not gonna say what you want.

THAT kind of hope can make the difference between staying stuck and finally getting where you wanna be.

THAT kind of hope can motivate you to make the changes you need to make to get out of the awful place you’re in, and into something better.

THAT kind of hope is your ticket to FREEDOM.

If your hope-o-meter is bone-dry, and you’re feeling the weight (no pun intended!) of month after month of fear, uncertainty, and division grinding you into the ground…then here’s something you can do to start lifting yourself back up:

Encourage someone. Whether it’s in person or virtually, leave someone a positive, uplifting comment.

Giving a little nugget of hope to someone else is more powerful than most people realize.

Try it out and see for yourself! Right now, encourage someone with an uplifting comment. I bet you’ll feel better right away!
