A lady who joined the 10 Pound Takedown has been through hell and back the last few years.
So here’s what she said about why she joined the Takedown:
“I’m back after doing my first 10 Pound Take down in 2018 and lost 14 lbs and I continued with Code Red but unfortunately not consistently. By July 2019 I had lost 50 lbs. Then the unexpected happened. My father passed away in October 2019 and I let life consume me. I did a few more 10 pound take downs but did not stick with them. Fast forward a few years. 2023 New years resolution for me as it for a lot of people. I started off good then another tragedy. January 23 we had a house fire and lost everything so I just gave up. March 2024 my Mom was diagnosed with stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer so I came off the road as a truck driver and we moved her in with us. Chemo was great for awhile then she just became more weak so October 7 we stopped chemo and October 19 she passed.
“I am heavier now then I was when I did my first challenge so it will take me a few to get into a healthy lifestyle change. Im trying to get the mindset back that yes these are tragedies but I’m the only one responsible for what I put into my mouth. I have started re reading Code Red Revolution and wow in just 2 days I know I know I can succeed and be successful with the help and tips fo Code Red. This challenge is a new start for me.”
I’m SO glad this lady decided to “step back into the light,” be accountable for her decisions, and have another go at it.
When life kicks you in the teeth, it becomes easy to forget that EVERYTHING is harder when your body feels like it’s fighting against you all the time…
Because you just don’t wanna care. Instead, you dive face-first back into those familiar old ways and bring back those old issues…
Only to have to deal with them all over again when the dust settles (which it eventually does).
And when you’re eyeball deep in those old ways, changing ANYTHING about how you eat feels like the worst punishment in the world…until the pain of staying the same becomes worse than the pain of changing.
But there’s one thing that ALWAYS makes the journey easier AND helps you navigate it successfully.
And that’s going it as a part of an uplifting group on the same journey.
Even if you just lurk and read others’ posts, the motivation you’ll get from following along is HUGE.
So is seeing their meal ideas (which many people in the Takedown LOVE to post).
(It’s SO much easier than trying to “do it all on your own!”)
Besides, the way we eat on Code Red is so rich and delicious, it doesn’t feel like you’re depriving yourself.
So if you’ve got extra body fat and/or physical problems you’d like to get rid of (like brain fog, fatigue, bloating, or heartburn, to name just a few)…
And you don’t want to have to gag down shakes, choke down diet pills, pay for risky shots, buy highly processed “diet foods,” or make time for the gym…
