One of my VIP Coaches recently held a virtual “breakfast” on Zoom for her VIP Rebels.
And one of these VIP Rebels shared something about her doctor that made my blood boil.
This Rebel’s lost a lot of weight in VIP, so when she went in for a recent doctor’s appointment, she was at a lower weight than last time.
And instead of saying something like, “Keep doing what you’re doing!” or asking what she’s doing and telling their other patients about it, both of which are things an ethical doctor would do…
HER doctor tried to put her on Ozempic (presumably to get a đź’° kickback from it)…
Even though she was already losing weight without taking freaking Ozempic.
This Rebel laughed in her doctor’s face and refused the drug.
(I am SO proud of her for doing that.)
Listen, I don’t have a problem with people making đź’°, as long as it’s done while helping customers in a way that’s in the customers’ best interest.
What this doctor did was NOT in this Rebel’s best interest.
She didn’t need the Ozempic for weight loss and she’s not diabetic.
There was zero ethical reason for this doctor to recommend it.
Doctors like this are just drug dealers for big pharma.
To be fair, there ARE doctors who really do wanna help you. They’re taught to treat symptoms with medication, so a lot of them don’t know what they don’t know about how much proper nutrition helps.
That’s why you cannot blindly trust that they “know everything” or always have your best interest at heart.
Some do, yes. They WANT you to get healthy. They WANT you to lose the weight. They WANT to see your blood work improve.
But there are some who care more about prescription drug kickbacks than whether you actually need the drug they’re prescribing.
The best thing you can do for yourself is take control of your health so you’re not so freaking dependent on big pharma.
To be clear, I’m not telling you to blindly stop taking your medication. Some people really do need medication.
What I’m saying is, eat real food, drink water, sleep, and let your body do what it’s designed to do.
From there, if you STILL need certain meds for certain conditions, okay.
But even then, don’t blindly accept what your doctor says.
Do your own research, get educated, and be your own best advocate for YOUR own health.
Cleaning up your diet is one of the best things you can do for your health.
Getting your mind on your side with Identity Shifting is the best thing you can do for your motivation, willpower, and mindset.
It’s not your fault that our healthcare system is the way it is.
But it IS your responsibility to navigate that system in a way that doesn’t end up with you getting screwed over.
Be your own best advocate and work with a doctor who’ll work with you, not just throw pills at you.
