How to reduce belly fat without exercise

Mainstream fitness marketing would have you believe that if you just do enough crunches, you’ll get rid of your belly fat and have six-pack abs.

The reality is that exercise is no guarantee you’ll lose any fat at all, much less belly fat, because you cannot out-train your diet.

Meaning, how you’re eating dictates whether you lose fat anywhere on your body, belly included.

Plus, you cannot spot reduce fat. The best you can do is can tighten up the muscles under the fat and give the appearance (to a point) that there’s less fat. But it really won’t be that much of a difference UNLESS you address your diet.

What all this means is that if you want to get rid of belly fat without exercise, you’re on the right track… 

Because the way you get rid of belly fat, period, centers around how you eat.

You can train, train, and train some more…but if you’re eating too much for your body’s needs, or you’re eating foods that feed inflammation and cause your body to store fat, you will not be able to get rid of the belly fat.

When I trained for my bodybuilding comeback in 2023, I was not going facedown in bags of chips, guzzling soda, and inhaling Domino’s pizzas 3 meals a day.

I trained hard, yes, but I HAD to eat a certain way get the results I got.

It is a bullcrap lie that you can “eat whatever you want” and get a sculpted, sexy physique with a flat belly…

Unless eating whatever you want happens to perfectly coincide with how you need to eat to lose weight and sculpt your body.

Bottom line: If you wanna get rid of belly fat, clean up your diet, and use diet to get to your ideal weight. Your body will lose the fat how it wants, and if you lose enough, it’ll eventually come off your belly.

THEN you can use a mix of diet AND exercise to tighten things up (including your belly) without worrying about whether exercising will help with weight loss!
