You’ll see in this week’s “What Do I Eat?” that about half my plate is sweet potatoes.
Sweet potatoes aren’t an unhealthy food, but I take people off them in weight loss mode because of how starchy they are.
The point of weight loss mode is to heal your body by taking it off foods that cling to water, cause inflammation (or make it worse), and spike insulin, since you cannot lose weight in the presence of all that insulin.
When you reach your goal weight, I have a simple system to help you reintroduce foods.
