Rebel victories for the week of October 24, 2020

This week I’m featuring one powerful story, from L.P.:

I have lost 50lbs on CR and have been in maintenance almost 5 months. I was on vacation all last week with my family at Disneyland. I have 2 daughters, their husbands and 5 grandkids.

You know what? I didn’t eat crap food, I drank my water, and got my sleep. I ate meal 1 before we got there each day and my first 40 oz of water was down before I was out the door.

I filled up my 2nd 40coz water bottle, and took it with me. Sometimes I had to hunt down water spots for the remainder of my water, but because I know how important it is, it was not a chore.

Potty breaks were frequent for all of us, but it was not an issue because restrooms were everywhere.

My family preplanned our meal 2 meals so that we could all eat together, and that I had CR approved food.

My family is not all on CR, but you know what…. we all made this trip about the memories, and spending time with each other and just being in each other’s presence. It wasn’t about the food.

Don’t get me wrong. They had other things, but I didn’t. It’s the memories that matter. I was able to run up flights of the stairs at Universal Studios. Hundreds of steps. If you have ever seen them, they are something else.

I had no problem with keeping up with my family. 11 miles trekking around Disneyland one day. I got on most of the rides with the kids and just enjoyed being with them, and being present, and in the moment.

This is what CR is all about! Taking your life back and really living it, not just being an observer, and letting life pass you by.
