The #1 thing you can do to protect yourself from illness

Wash your hands. Cough into your elbow. Practice social distancing.

These are all things we’ve been told will help minimize the spread of COVID-19, the strain of coronavirus that we’re all hearing so much about.

But one thing I wish more people were talking about is the role proper nutrition plays in protecting yourself from ALL forms of illness.

You’ve probably heard me talk about inflammation, a condition that, when it’s ongoing the way it is in so many people these days, leads to disease and makes you more susceptible to illness.

Sugar, unhealthy carbs, and processed, chemical-soaked foods all feed into inflammation, which is why so many people are sick as well as obese.

These same foods also destroy your gut health, and that’s a big problem, because your gut is the “home base” of your body’s immune system.
